I'm incredibly proud to work with the Auger's Scottish team as a Drainage Investigation Engineer. Most of my day is spent problem-solving - typically by undertaking CCTV surveys and using my experience and training to identify what is going on and propose the most suitable resolution. I'm part of a really close-knit team. We all take pride in working together and helping each other out if one of us is having a tough day. We're also the reigning Auger Go-Kart Champions from the last two years!

I joined Auger in 2016 having worked for a competitor for the two years prior. The difference was night and day. Auger's technology, equipment and working practices are first class. As a Water Mains engineer I have all the leak detection and moling equipment I need. I have a 5th wheel so the inverter is built into the van which makes life much easier than pulling a trailer. Auger's apps enable us to view our diary and schedule at any time so I always know where i'm going each week.

I joined the Auger Academy as a Trainee Engineer a few years ago. I had no experience in Drainage but Auger didn't see this as a major obstacle. My enthusiasm and motivation to learn were recognised and I spent the next 18 months learning the role of a drain repair engineer. I had great support from my Senior Engineers and quickly became competent in a variety of areas. Graduating from the Academy, becoming a lead engineer and getting my own repair vehicle and equipment was a great moment. I'm looking forward to helping nurture and develop the next generation of Trainees in the Academy.
