Spotlighting 5 Inspirational Women of Auger

Here at Auger, over 50% of our senior team and over 60% of our junior management and team leaders are female. We are surrounded by inspirational women, and in light of International Women's Day we thought it appropriate to spotlight a few.  

Louise Chadwick has been a part of the Auger team for nearly 10 years; beginning as a claims handler, she has worked her way up to her current role as Internal Operations manager, showing incredible dedication since day one. Having already nurtured and developed a strong department who are at the forefront of delivering our first-class service, Louise continues to strive daily for improvements that will benefit both our customers and her team. Chief amongst her achievements, Louise developed our service to include water claims, establishing a nationwide supply chain and later working to bring this into the direct labour model we use today. In addition to having acted as a mentor to several of our internal staff, Louise is a mentor for The Girls' Network charity, an organisation that works to "inspire and empower girls from the least advantaged communities by connecting them with a network of professional female role models".

Seven years ago Rachel Ellis joined Auger as our youngest Claims Handler. Since then, she has excelled in everything she has turned her hand to, most recently expanding her skills to include accounting by moving into finance and pursuing her AAT qualification. Rachel has now joined our senior management group and has been appointed as the Head of our Accounts team, a department which she has already begun to enhance and expand, successfully navigating the challenges of a new financial auditing process last year. Despite the commitments of running her own department, Rachel continues to give back, volunteering as treasurer for our local branch of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.

Sharon Kaye, our Business Process and HR Manager, has been an integral part of Auger since its beginning, guiding our transition and growth from our first few employees to a company with a workforce of over 140 people. Sharon has been instrumental in the majority of Auger's achievements and accreditations, most recently helping us to achieve the Investors in People Gold accreditation, a global benchmark when it comes to people management. As our Special Projects Account Manager, Katy Downes has 6 years worth of expertise regarding insurance claims for off-mains systems. Having developed her in-depth knowledge of her field over this period, Katy is key to the ongoing development of this area of our business, both taking the lead role in our internal training around off-mains systems and managing our most complex projects with the highest level of professionalism. Katy is also a mentor for The Girls' Network charity, helping to support young women from the local community to realise their ambitions for the future.

Jess Brewster is our Business Improvement Manager, responsible for using data to keep Auger at the forefront of our sector. Over the past 5 years, Jess has built her department from one in its infancy to one that produces industry-leading MI and reporting. The value of data has never been higher than it is today, and Jess has harnessed this to implement efficiencies across the business, whilst supporting our clients with the highest level of insight available. Outside of work, Jess is passionate about working with young people, having volunteered over the last 8 years for WEB Merseyside, a charity that aims to support personal growth and skills development in the local community.  

These are just 5 of the many talented and committed women who are a key part of driving our success. We are exceptionally proud of our entire female team here at Auger, and we couldn't do what we do without them.
