WEB Merseyside began as a small support group run by local women, since becoming an established charity providing vital services across our community. Their mission is to support women, men and children with complex needs in building the confidence to cope with life through personal growth and skills development; at their core is the commitment to providing these services in a non-judgemental and safe environment where people can share their experiences and thoughts.

We are proud to have supported WEB over the past decade as we passionately believe the work they do is paramount in providing a strong foundation for vulnerable people in our local community. Aside from donating a portion of our profit each month to help with ongoing staffing and service provision, our whole workforce have supported WEB's work through regular fundraising activities and voluntary work over the last 9 years; WEB Manager Bernie King commented: "Auger have been an absolute lifeline, enabling us to keep our staff in post when funding was very hard to come by".

Our Head of Business Improvement, Jessica Brewster, volunteers weekly in the Young Women's and Young Boys' Groups, providing one-to-one listening support and personal development activities for young service users. In 2017, we donated furniture to fully equip their offices; in response, Bernie King said: “This has made all the difference to us. Making the offices comfortable, and creating a warm and efficient environment means we can do more for those we support. Auger has been a great sponsor of ours over a number of years but this has gone above and beyond what we could expect. We’d like to thank them for making the lives of everyone so much easier who work with us.”

Over the years, our team have organised several fundraising events, including raising over £2000 by taking on the Three Peaks Challenge in 2017, a donation matched by our MD David Brewster, bringing the total raised to £4000. Our colleagues also personally donated £1870 to the charity to mark our 25th Company Anniversary.

We are committed to offering unwavering support to WEB in the future, and would encourage other local companies to get involved. “As a company deeply rooted in this area we want to support WEB Merseyside in any way we can. They do great work, contributing valuable help for women, men and children in the local community who would not otherwise receive it.” - David Brewster.
